We have always been, and hope to remain, a small firm.  We feel that the firm should be small enough to allow everyone to be involved in and contribute to each and every project.  Involvement, understanding, and pride in our work allow us to find the best possible solutions for the unique projects we undertake.

Now allow us to introduce . . .

The founding principal of SITES & STRUCTURES, INC., Dale Harkins is a licensed architect in the State of Indiana.  He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.  Since that time, Dale's work in historic preservation, restoration, and revitalization has been and continues to be well respected by state and national preservation commissions.  Likewise, his extensive experience in residential and commercial design as well as other "unique" projects proves that no challenge is too great for Dale.  A true Hoosier, Dale has his own at-home basketball team.  He and his wife, Deb (also an architect) have been blessed with five children.

Meet one of our new interns, Katrina Ludwig.  Katrina is entering her final year of study in architecture at Iowa State University.  She was born and rasied in Iowa and recently decided to expand her horizons by studying aboard in Italy and then moving to the land of Hoosiers.  In her downtime, Katrina attempts to explore the great State of Indiana and to navigate through the streets of Indianapolis.  She also keeps busy traveling, sailing, biking, and anticipating her impending graduation in less than one year.

Another architect-to-be is Christopher M. Dobosz,  who hails from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he just completed his first year of study.  He grew up in the metro Detroit area and went to high school on the Texas-Mexico border.  Besides architecture, Chris likes ice hockey (way to go Red Wings) and prefers Mexican Coca-Cola to its' American counterpart;  he enjoys Michigan football games, courses in religion and the history of art, and eating Rice-a-Roni.

And for just one month this summer, Dayangku Pengiran Haji Badaruddin.  (We just call her 'Waty'.)  She is a native of Brunei, who until last year was a student in the Architecture program at Nottingham University in England.  Waty will begin her second year of architectural studies this fall at Ball State University just up the road from here in Muncie.
