1991

The City of New Castle purchased two buildings on the courthouse square in downtown New Castle in 1991 that would provide new homes for many of the city's non-profit agencies, county and city development organizations, and the county senior social services. Using a Community Focus Fund grant from the State of Indiana, our office presented the project to various organizations, prepared construction documents for the building's rehabilitation, and assisted in furthering the City's strategy of how this project would benefit the downtown. Today, this project has successfully brought nine independent organizations together under one roof and has been a major step in reversing the once blighted conditions in downtown New Castle.
